Global Go invites you to join us for our cannabis webinar, “Distressed Assets: Navigating M&A Opportunities and Challenges in the Cannabis Space” Wednesday, August 26th at 12:00 pm (PST) / 3:00 pm (EST).

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a mixed impact on the cannabis industry.  While cannabis sales have generally increased during the pandemic, some small to medium sized companies have suffered from cash flow and liquidity problems caused by the resurgence of unlicensed operators and collapse of capital markets.  Meanwhile, many larger operators have dominated the headlines with shareholder settlements, disputes and high interest rate loans to tray and stay afloat.  In the wake of these difficulties, merger and acquisition opportunities abound and significant consolidation in the market is expected.

This panel offers expert advice for cannabis companies on both the sell and buy side that are considering mergers and acquisitions during these unprecedented times, with special focus on the unique challenges posed in acquiring and selling distressed cannabis assets, including issues related to licensing, access to capital, bankruptcy, supply chains, and due diligence.

Host, Paul Rosen, Executive Chairman, Global Go

Rosen is an early pioneer in the globalized cannabis industry, having been a co-founder of PharmaCanCapital Corp and served as its first CEO and President. Under Rosen’s leadership, PharmaCan/Cronos Group acquired ownership interests in a number of the initial cannabis licenses awarded in Canada and was the 3rd cannabis company to go public in Canada. Rosen sat on the board of iAnthus Capital Holdings, a multistate operator of cannabis assets in the United States and has advised and/or invested in more than 150 companies in the cannabis industry.
